How do I reset the home page and search engine in Internet Explorer?
To reset the home page and search engine in Internet Explorer, complete the following steps:
In the upper right-hand corner of your browser, click on the settings (gear) icon, then select Internet Options from the dropdown list.
On the General tab, under Home page, enter the web address of the page you wish you set as your Home page. Click “Apply”.
If you are done making changes to your Internet options, click “OK”.
Changes to your search engine settings can be made from the same window. Under Search, click on “Settings”.
This will bring up a list of search engine providers installed on your browser. Click on the search provider you wish to set as your default, and select “Set as default” from the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
The same steps can be taken to remove unwanted search engines, by selecting the provider and clicking “Remove”.
