How do I reset the homepage and search engine on Mozilla Firefox?

Set your Mozilla Firefox homepage by following these steps:
 
1. In Firefox, navigate to the webpage you wish to set as your homepage.
 
2. Click on "Tools" and select "Options" from the drop down menu.
 
 
3. On the "General" tab, find the "Home Page" box at the top.
 
4. Select "Use Current Pages". The address of the website you are currently on should appear in the box. Click "OK". 

To change your search engine in Mozilla Firefox, follow these steps:
 1. Click on the search engine icon next to the address bar.

2. Selected "Change Search Settings" from the drop down menu.

3. You can remove search engines from this list by selecting the name clicking "Remove".

Note: If the previous steps do not work, you may need to
reset your browser settings. You also may have malicious adware preventing you from resetting your homepage and search engine.

To remove, try the following:
1. Download AdwCleaner 
here.  
2. Run the file to open the tool.
3. Click on “Scan” and save the text document that will appear after the search. 
4. Close all open applications and click on “Clean”.
5. AdwCleaner will request you to reboot your computer. Please accept the message and restart your computer.
